If it’s so apparent, where’s your chart?

Got proof or just gut feeling?

The democrats won’t be blamed for anything. They have the media going to bat for them 24/7.

Same thing here in the Commonwealth of PA; a number of county coroners are going back to the state, Tommy the Commie and his tranny Director of Health, Dr. “Rachel” Levine, and saying “Now wait just a minute, our numbers don’t add up to yours!”

You are misreading my posts. The spikes you talk of are without doubt due to Covid19. The data is what counts for you and me as well.

But I do have a different view on the shutdown. At this point we don’t really know if it saved large numbers of lives. It may have. It may not have. But the decision to do so was rational based on the worldwide and U.S. infection and death rates.

But it was way, way too broad and dominated by NY and NYC. So Montana suffered quite unnecessarily.

But it is now time to end the experiment. Let the people and the business go back to work and let the market decide the winners and losers. Some businesses will be able to lure their customers back and some won’t. We need to let that play out.

And one more thing where we may or may not agree: I expect a lot more deaths than the experts are predicting. I feel bad about that but have accepted the idea as the price we have to pay to get back on our feet.

What is your plan? Just stay locked in your basement forever? You point out the problem with apparent glee, but you don’t have a solution. Nobody does. The disease is with us. There is no vaccine. There is no “cure”. What do you suggest we do. Let our country die and let the tyrants rule over us as we happily surrender or liberty for some vacant hope of safety. I don’t know why you spam every thread with your fear mongering. It doesn’t help. Unless you can find a way to defeat this plague without losing our liberty, then you are contributing to the problem rather than helping. What’s your point?

When Montana is connected to big cities with Wuhan by multiple daily flights, they contribute to Rt just like the guy with the outside hot-dog stand on the street.

I am the first to agree that one size does not fit all here. But our strength is using individual initiative and adjustments to get it under control. That takes learning from what has worked and what isn't working.

And no, I don't support universal lockdown forever and we need to get the economy going or we are all in trouble.

Where’s your chart, or are you letting PsychoTravis do your talking for you.

I’m at work, therefore I don’t have time to hide in my house 167 hours per week, as Travis admitted he does, and dig up graphics.

Furthermore, where exactly is Nancy Pelosi going to post a chart illustrating her methods for “not letting a crisis go to waste” in order to bring down the economy and the President?

Myself and millions of others have to go back to work now, where nobody I know is dropping dead, in order to keep the wheels turning and save this country.

Enjoy your time in the basement.

Is there a placed to see better versions of these graphs and the underlying data?

Thanks

That is certainly true.

But common sense not government edict has to be the basis for deciding whether you get on that airplane or not. Or deal with people who do. From Montana's point of view you need to monitor the infection and death rates. As long as they are low it should be pretty much business as usual. But if they start to rise that needs to be reconsidered.

They are not the only ones. These books have been cooked since day one.

Are you a propagandist or are you just too stupid to see what your numbers are cherry picked and not out of the normal ranges during this type of event.

I think Travis means well, but he doesn't realize that his strident style of repetitive posting, name-calling and denigration only makes him look like a crack-pot. If he thinks he's changing minds with this style, he's woefully mistaken.

I think it’s not impossible that the big “progressive” states are using the COVID thing to off their elderly in nursing homes, particularly those who are on state assistance. Don’t forget, the politicians running these states are *not pro-life.* They think that murder (abortion and euthanasia) are legitimate ways of solving social problems.

I'm sure the deaths are inflated. By 1%, 10%, 50%? All over the world?

If you don't have time or the means for running a Covid19 test and just declare it so then the actual cause is unknown. I'm sure doctors and medical facilities do this.

But cooking the books? I don't think so. Lazy or incompetent doctors is what Occam would tell us. More deaths doesn't help anybody except Nancy and Chuck and their followers.

Welcome to FR, wildcard.

You haven’t addressed the virility of this Wuhan Flu, only the economic impact....which, no one, here (that I know of), denies.

Rather than reply to Travis with insults, why not post links to support your statement? That could, potentially, open up a dialogue avenue.

Also, are you saying that Pres Trump is a “fear monger” for shutting down HIS created economy...the best economy in decades?

The name calling, without any support/source/back up is getting old, here.

Especially from n00bs who attack a longtime, well respected FReeper.

That would be a different ball game. Are they really handing out bonuses like that?
