The Santa Cruz mountain area is a very special place. Some very affordable (relatively) and excellent Pinot Noir there.

These idiots around here are doing it to. Thousands of Karens howling across the U.S.

I used to go to Bonnie Doon Winery back when their tasting room was up in the Santa Cruz Mountains with the winery, instead of being down in town in Santa Cruz proper, where the tasting room is now. Always said they were a bunch of hippies up in the mountains who make good wine. They hired Ralph Steadman to do a good bit of their label art; he did the art for Hunter Thompsons articles in Rolling Stone back in the day.
This story kinda validates and ties in with my assessment of Bonnie Doon.

Never heard any of it. We’re well southeast.
Boulder Creek is a bit edgy.
I’m usually asleep by 8.

People around here are howling every night at 8:00pm.
It is not a "show of support for health care workers" either. It is a "I'm mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore" signal.
Ultimately futile, but still quite visible. We get occasional fireworks too. Quite the show some nights.
The Karens have noticed and are starting to get upset about it. They want everybody to just shut up now and go back inside.

It’s just people trying to have some fun and distract themselves.
What harm does it do?
