Having been there I can guarantee that Brazil is one giant slum with nice beaches.It’s hard to imagine any kind of “medical research” coming from such a cesspool being worth any more than a bucket of warm spit.
But it always looks so nice in James Bond movies. Well, the chicks do, anyway. :)
The study was planned to be larger but it was stopped after 81 patients were enrolled because of the high death rate on the high does arm.
One has to wonder why they had such a protocol well above the saftey limit of the drug. I think designed to fail is a possibility.
All that ever came out of Brazil was a waxing technique...
