On April 7, Bill Weir, CNN's chief climate correspondent, had a son. Weir wrote an open letter to his son telling him he was born into Hell on Earth, also known as the modern Western world. The letter perfectly encapsulates everything the left hates and wants to see destroyed.
Below, in italics, are my summaries of many of Weir's pronouncements, followed by countervailing information.
Climate change is making nightingales have shorter wings, so they're all going to die because they can't migrate. First, the study, after noting that some nightingales have shorter wings, makes an evidence-free leap to blaming climate change. Second, "[w]hile the British population of nightingales has been declining since at least the 1960s because of habitat loss, the European breeding population is estimated at between 3.2 and 7 million pairs, giving it green conservation status (least concern). Furthermore, according to Birdlife, the European population is stable."
Climate change is killing the Great Barrier Reef. The reef has survived for 6,0008,000 years, despite massive sea level drops. "Corals are highly mobile, highly adaptable and resilient organisms. The larval form of Coral is a free swimming organism, which can actively seek a location to settle. Reef coral has repeatedly demonstrated its resilience by surviving multiple mass extinctions, including the event which killed the dinosaurs."
Humans looking for habitat and wealth are destroying the Amazon. Deforestation is lessening, the Amazon isn't responsible for keeping the world oxygenated, and parts of it were once more densely populated than today.
Climate change will drown the expensive waterfront neighborhood in which Weir lives. Weir doesn't believe that. If he did, he wouldn't have bought waterfront property. The Obamas wouldn't have, either.
Climate change results because the baby's milk bottle "was warmed by dirty, ancient fuels." Before we used fossil fuel, the baby's bottle

I’m thinking if he was serious with his world view, he would have chosen to not have children. Don’t you think?
Linked article says nothing about climate change.
And if he was serious about global warming flooding the coastlines, he and his wife wouldn’t have bought a waterfront home, just like the Obama’s did.
Yup. Should have had an abortion if his kid was a "mistake"
One therefore can infer that by going full term, he is pro life (THAT assumption should piss off a few liberals)
Caitlin Jenner is more MANLY than this guy!!
Wrong link
Who the hell would want that insufferable @sswipe for a father?
I think he has mommy-issues. At least it looks that way from what I’ve read.
Methinks he needs to avoid going on the Maury show.
Be happy don’t worry.
You linked to the wrong article. I was interested in that.
I’m mystified he was able to puzzle out the process of making a baby. If I might leap to a conclusion, he’s not the father.
Poor kids. They will probably all end up transgender drug addicts.

IF this clown wants to really see Hell on earth he should move to North Korea or possibly Cuba.
Brits already are on record saying that these British school children would grow up never seeing a snowfall. And they scared them with adverts of parents reading bedtime stories with major cities being flooded and all the characters dying from drowning.
They are evil liars.
Maybe Weir would have preferred that his kid had been born in 7th century Arabia where he could have been butchered by an illiterate rapist and brigand called Mohammad who claimed that murder, rape and theft were all sanctioned by his moon god called allah. The climate was really swell in those days.
