Homemade tomato sauce for spaghetti sauce or just by itself? I know homemade is a lot of work, especially if you try to get the tomato seeds out.
Keith did a bunch of work in the yard today, trimming trees and azalea bushes and other stuff, and I’ve been doing the usual housework. Just getting ready for the work week, doing okay.

For pasta, you use a tomato press so no picking out seeds. Glad all is well.

A good day, all things considered. Tomatoes and bell peppers are doing quite good - the peppers are starting to bud already! The wife's hammock came and is assembled, so she's happy. The pool and surrounding environs are getting prepped and groomed for the season (still too chilly to open the pool, and I told her we might want to consider installing a pool heater). The winter was mild, so our palm tree doesn't need any fronds trimmed off. Getting the grills cleaned in the courtyard - the freeloaders not only used ALL of my gas and ALL of my charcoal, but left a greasy mess that's taken a full can of oven cleaner to get loose on the grates and burners. The drip pan underneath held a quart puddle of putrid slop. I had to pull everything and spray it all down in the brickwork, so I hope I didn't bleach everything in the process. But it's coming along, the grill lights are back on, and the Meat Machine should be back to full grillworthy condition by tomorrow. We dropped five Franklins into that bruiser, you can bet I'm gonna keep it cleaned, covered, and well fed. LOL Funny thing - I had one of those little $39 square grills on wheels I bought as a backup, and it had sat out there for two years, unused except when it was raining (I could keep it under the roof overhang to keep it and myself dry). The cover was so weatherbeaten, it was torn and I figured that it probably collected rain and rusted out. But when I tore the old cover off, except for a few beauty marks, the dang thing was in fully servicable condition, so it's getting some TLC. I used it last night to grill a couple of NY strip steaks (after chasing down fresh charcoal and lighter fluid). And - as an added bonus if you order now! - I found my emergency, tertiary, let's-cook-out-at-the-lake backup backup Hibachi grill sitting underneath it, and it's in grillable condition. I totally forgot about that thing - I bet I only used it twice. I had to sit them side by side with the covers open just to take in the view. Larry, Moe, and Curly. Enough meat-searing firepower to cook a barnyard. LOL
