BSODs, deleted files... sounds serious, but only a few hundred reports so far, and Microsoft is saying they don't know anything about it other than some users are complaining. Users complain, that's what they do... so no panic at the moment, but keep an eye out for further updates.

It happened to my work laptop.
Haven’t seen a blue screen of death in a LONG time.

From the safety of Win7, I will observe that it is hard to report a problem if one’s computer has been trashed.
The worst part of Win10, of course, is that home users can’t turn off updates.

Imagine if cars sold to people were built with as many flaws as Windows 10, needing fixes every month.
The driving accident dead toll would be in the millions annually.

Happened to mine. As soon as it boots it says it will shut down in a minute.

Everything had been working fine for the last 3-4 years up until the update. I’ve been working a solid week on my home network with all sorts of issues. I think I got most of my system straighten out but my back up program (as well as some others) wants an admin password. I’ve typed in every single password I’ve ever used (yes I keep a record) and it rejects them all. The only solution as I can see it is to change the admin password. Help sites are all over the board with possible solutions to change the admin password, but most of them sound rather dangerous. Not sure what to do.

No complaint with Microsoft until this month, when Outlook is sending my emails the following day, and some of them are date sensitive.
Tried to find out if is a common problem...not successful

All the files on the C drive, deleted? Hell, some of those aren't important at all... :^)

NEVER be the first to update.

Geez, it seems a number of FReepers are already among the affected. Maybe this will turn out to be one of those Updates of the Damned events.
And as pointed out, home users cannot refuse the updates or turn off the auto-update function (they can only delay it a little while).
Im among the lucky business users whose updates are controlled locally with a WSUS server, and our IT Security officer vets them before letting them roll out.
But then again, there is that VM of Win10 Pro on my home system that I havent used in a couple of months. Better update that after doing a full backup, of course....

I’m blocking updates for the time being. My Win 10 laptop is pretty much for entertainment anyway. I keep it primarily as emergency backup in case my work/desktop machine goes down. Which, ironically, matters little since the government has essentially put me out of business.

The dreaded BSOD. It happened to me twice this year (my PC). Once in February 2020 and once in April 2020.
I have never had that happen to me in all the years I have owned PC's.
What a joke!
