Which probably had an different meaning to Jefferson than it did to Hamilton.
Jefferson is the reputed author of the 1798 Kentucky Resolution, which called for States to refuse to enforce the Alien and Sedition Act.
The Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions supported the right of States to nullify laws that they believed to be unConstitutional. An opinion that continued until Lincoln made Hamilton’s vision the only acceptable understanding.

Excellent that you are active with your state GOP! As to your age, I still remember your valiant and miraculous recovery from that truck running you off the road when you were in your 70s! Few could have bounced back like you did! Glad you are still working hard on the patriot team!
