This could be a way to shutter poorer-performing locations and trying to write them off as insurance claims.
If they own the location on McKinney in Dallas the land underneath it is probably worth a good bit more than the going value concern. If they don’t, the landlord may be really happy that they are leaving.
The other Dallas location is also in a high rent district. The margins just might not be there.
As for DeSoto the opposite issue - it peaked the day before the SuperConducting SuperCollider project was shut down.
