Okay, but let’s not be overconfident. Some of the bookmakers had Hillary Clinton at 80% in late October 2016.
I don’t think anyone in the entire world has handled it well except the South Koreans. They know better than anyone how badly the Chinese lie and they locked down in December and tested the hell out of people.
So I don’t really blame us/him/anyone for being “unprepared” but the electorate will. He’s the lightning rod right? And he’s going to have to address this through the entire election season.
The longer it goes, the worse the economy will get. It’s going to be difficult for him.
Before this started, he’d have won an easy landslide. This is the game changer that has leveled the playing field.

In my mind, it all hinges on how fast the economy rebounds. If it shows some real life, then he can pivot the whole discussion to that.

This is great entertainment.
Dimocrats know that Trump will win. They see this covid nonsense as a perfect opportunity to get a few thousand people killed and blame it on Trump.
Dims favor the shutdown while normal people and Trump want it over. They know Trump is on the side of sensible people, and so will reelect him.
Trump inspires enthusiasm, but biden puts people to sleep. Dims are making America poor again.
The best revenge against these evil people is to reelect Trump.
