President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of an "injection" of disinfectant into a person infected with the coronavirus as a deterrent to the virus during his daily briefing Thursday.
Trump made the remark after Bill Bryan, who leads the Department of Homeland Security's science and technology division, gave a presentation on research his team has conducted that shows that the virus doesn't live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. Bryan said, "The virus dies quickest in sunlight," leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light "inside the body."
"So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous whether it's ultraviolet or just a very powerful light and I think you said that hasn't been checked because of the testing," Trump said, speaking to Bryan during the briefing. "And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way, and I think you said you're going to test that, too."
He added: "I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."
He didn't specify the kind of disinfectant.
Medical professionals, including Dr. Vin Gupta, a pulmonologist, global health policy expert and an NBC News and MSNBC contributor. were quick to challenge the president's "improper health messaging."

Pelosi need injection of disinfectant, she’s a dirt *unt.
(this kid knows more about stuff than I knew possible)
The HHS scientist was asked that question directly and he cleared up the confusion by saying no one was proposing injecting anything.
In the MSM’s stupid attempt to “get Trump” they completely missed the main point that sunlight and summer temperatures have a significant disinfecting affect on COVID-19. This was not conclusively known before this but it is reassuring and very good news for those that want a quick end to the pandemic.
NBC takes the bait...
[[The media has broom sticks up their butts.]]
Studded with broken glass and rusty nails and dull barbed wire
I saw that reporter ask that STUPID ABSURD question and the fact that Trump had to intervene and tell that idiot reporter that the disinfectants were for wiping surfaces NOT for injecting into people it was simply stunning someone could ask such a stupid question!!!
I saw this today and after the reporter asked such an asinine question he printed the LIE anyway!! Unbelievable!!{
Maybe don’t do it on national television?
Trump thinks outside the box, he has an eternal optimism, and he loves this country. Trump is correct in his musing:
photodynamic therapy, near and far infrared therapy, ozone injection and ozone insufflation, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide, to name a few.
My son in laws mother undergoes light therapy for a dermatological problem........very successful.
“As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”
This is key, imho, in spite of the tone of both the origin of the comment and that of comments here.
Propylene glycol therapy, as I’ve posted here prior, achieves exactly that (”clean the lungs”) like no other treatment, pharmacological or otherwise.
Yet it exists merely as a post here at FR, ironically DOA.
Pathetic, if you think about it, considering how many doctors I reached out to about the possibility.

Trump is a layperson, not in medical field, so doesn’t know the accurate lingo. Would be more along the line of anti-infectant rather than disinfectant. For example drugs such as Metronidazole and ivermectin are anti inti infectants . As for the UV light Trump is an idealist.....now wouldn’t it be interesting if a scientist ran with that idea and developed a UV light that can be used to scope the lungs and kill Caronava just by shining it into the lungs???
Bingo...
...the vaunted Stanford UV research was conducted indoors with artificial light—mimicking sunlight’s UV.
Or even ultraviolet light inside the lungs? Would it penetrate far enough into diseased tissue to make any difference?
You see, I’m not a medical doctor, and neither is Trump. We can ask questions and brain storm. It’s not like I’m telling people to inhale a UV flashlight.
The press is simply out to get Trump no matter what. It’s called Orange Man Bad syndrome.
Well my wife just put some deodorizer bleach tablets in the toilet bowl and everytime I go to the bathroom I gag at the smell of the bleach/chlorine.
I was wondering if breathing in those fumes help kill the virus, (or me)? :)
The media is like an army of termites trying to eat this good man alive.
