I was sent this comment from a fellow Flubro yesterday. Essentially the left is going crazy about current lockdown protests being CV spreading events. Well they also went crazy about the Wisconsin in person voting 2 weeks ago as a spreading event. Well 2 weeks is time for CV to theoretically spread and kill people. Yet there is no spike in CV deaths in Wisconsin. It is very dangerous for any country (especially the USA) to not permit protests for any reason.

Listening to Trump at the press conferences I can't help but think of your brains spinning as he contradicts everything you folks are trying to push.
Seriously, do you now consider him to be an idiot? Or an easily manipulated fool? He has more info than anyone else on the planet. Is he the biggest liar you have ever seen?
And most important, will you vote for him and on what basis if you can't trust what he is saying during arguably the most important issue of our lifetime?

Anyway, it can never be known.
Did the shutdown actually save lives or just spread them out over a longer period of time, in which case it was a total wasted effort that cost 22 million jobs and trillions of dollars.
If the area under the curve is the numbers of deaths, and the area is the same because the curve line is the same length, then is was worse than a waste of time, it was a waste of the world economy, which will cost millions of additional lives.
The single unintended good that will come from this wasted exercise is the fact that most Americans are now convinced that off shoring our strategic supply chains to China {and other foreign countries} is a threat to our very existence, or as the liberals constantly spout, "An existential threat".
