According to The Star, five such patients in Sabah’s Sandakan and Kinabatangan tested positive for Covid-19 just two days after recovering from the virus.

On April 18, the state government had said that 35 patients in these areas were recovered. This number was revised two days later, The Star said.

According to the new website, the Sabah Health Department later confirmed that patients who were declared recovered had tested negative in two Covid-19 tests.

However, the five patients later tested positive again.

But this is not a unique situation to Malaysia. On April 19, CNN reported that 179 recovered patients in South Korea later tested positive for Covid-19 again.

Has anyone posted an updated graph of major countries (top 20 at most) daily (new) fatalities, recently?

I looked at a few, mostly Euro countries that got hit a little earlier than the US, and my impression is that the daily fatalities numbers do not fall off rapidly - that is, not in “bell curve” fashion. (Actually, one country’s curve was bell shaped, but I don’t recall which.) UK (3-day average) was still going UP, yesterday, IIRC.

Seen as a group, the curves would be useful. It’d also be useful to note any easing of restrictions if such has occurred in these countries.*

The slow decline in fatalities in the face of continued “lockdowns” (I believe?) in countries that are ahead of us is worrisome. With the US already over 42k fatalities, and gradually reopening, I could see us still reaching nearly 80k fatalities by June 1. That may be a price we just have to pay - this country cannot stay locked down, or even 50% staying home, much longer.

*Incidentally, a friend in Norway reports restrictions being eased there, however, I do not believe Norway was ever hit hard. They have only 182 fatalities out of a population of 5.368 million people. I would not be surprised if they have fewer CV + flu deaths in the last month than they would have had if everything was “normal” with flu taking it’s typical toll. What’d they do right?
