The USS America is part of the 31st MEU. The MEU is always afloat. It’s also a very heavily over worked MEU since it’s the only one in that area and yanking it here and there to cover this and that is normal business.

It’s what you don’t see - the nuke submarine(s) each with 24 missiles with multiple warheads targeted for Beijing and various other locales around China.
