TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A man concerned about the conditions in Florida jails and prisons amid the pandemic found himself behind bars after cementing himself in concrete in front of the Governor’s Mansion Friday morning.
While cases have begun to rise among inmates and staff, the governor is resistant to the idea of releasing offenders.
Police were called to the Governor’s Mansion around 6 a.m. and found 28-year-old Jordan Mazurek with his arms seemingly cemented into two large barrels reading, "Stop the Massacre and Free Prisoners Now."
“He was protesting some element of the Department of Corrections,” said Tallahassee Police Department Public Information Officer Officer Kevin Bradshaw.
Though he was able to remove his hands freely, he refused, so officials were forced to cut him out, as the governor’s children played on swings just yards away.
Mazurek was charged with resistance and obstruction without violence.
He was also issued a traffic ticket for blocking the roadway.

Just set up a chain link fence around him with guards to make sure no sympathizers can free him. He’ll be begging for help within a few hours. For his sake I hope he’s wearing some adult diapers.
Wow. Talk about dumb. Having worked as a laborer with brick layers I learned that with mortar, (used for setting brick and stone,not concrete) if you pour in a good amount of beer the mortar won’t ‘’set up’’, that is it won’t harden. This nit wit could have not done this at all and it was a pretty stupid thing to do, but if he had known of this trick he maybe could have gotten himself a shallow container of some kind, some Redimix mortar, poured in a six pack and made a statement that way.

They should have left him there for a few days. He could have dropped a few loads in his pants and had a few dogs walk by and piss on him. I wish they just left him alone for a few days or a week.

Gently lift him into place to an Interstate exit where he would be useful
