An Atlanta police officer has been relieved of her duties after investigators said she attacked a fellow officer and tried to run them over with her car.
Investigators said an off-duty APD officer was helping with traffic flow at Wells Fargo bank along Camp Creek Parkway when Lt. Sharonne Steed refused to follow the officer’s directions.
“Lt. Steed continued to defy the officer's orders and ultimately bumped her vehicle into him,” Atlanta police said in a news release Tuesday.
Police said the off-duty officer tried get Steed out of the car and she resisted, ultimately biting the officer’s hand.
Investigators said at some point during the incident, Steed identified herself as an Atlanta police officer. The department said several APD supervisors were then dispatched to the bank to investigate.
Following their investigation, officers took out several felony warrants against Steed, charging her with obstruction, aggravated assault and violation of oath by public officer.
Steed has been relieved of her duties until her case can be adjudicated. Police said she turned herself in to he Fulton County Jail on Tuesday.
Steed has worked as a supervisor at the department’s Airport precinct and has been with the department since July 1997.
This is what happens when they hire based on race and sex rather than merit. Real police are not happy about working with incompetents, especially when the incompetents get promoted.

I'm surprised there's anything like that. They mostly don't care about the Constitution or some silly "oath" they take. If they get to punch people and throw them in jail for no reason, they love that.

Not a week goes by where I am not amazed at the types of people they hire for cops...I find it quite alarming.

You aren’t kidding. Atlanta is full of anti white blacks. The city is poorly run. If it wasn’t the state capital it would be Baltimore or Chicago.

Happens all the time. If you ever watch any real life crime shows such as Forensic Files, you would know. People who have already made up their minds about the police are going to believe what they are going to believe.
