Personally, cruising is not my thing, and I wouldn’t do it... and they will obviously lose a lot of people in the near term. BUT if the cruise companies shoot enough specials and 2-for-1 deals, a lot of their customers will bite. Much of their clientele are older retirees with a devil-may-care “I’m 80 years old without a lot of time left, so why the hell not?” attitude. And there’s something to be said for that.
I hear you and I felt the same most of my life until last year.Im 72 and in good health but my wife and I went on two cruises last year with friends, and theres something to be said for free bar 24/7, wonderful high end meals all day long at your leisure, and great concerts and shows every nite punctuated with exotic ports of call every two or three days that you can get used to very quickly! We have a cruise scheduled in November in the Caribbean i,and were hoping things will work out by then. Should be a good way to unwind from all of this.
