Sorry for the vanity, but I am concerned, I work in the hospitality industry, always have. There have always been highs and lows, but this is the low of lows.
With the government mandate of social distancing, I'm afraid that there will be no big gatherings, such as wedding receptions, proms, family reuions, company meetings, etc in the future.
You can't lose a right. You can only surrender it. Hence the term sheeple.
Piffle
Well I hate being around people anyways so...
I think the same. The left domestic and left global have deployed the doomsday weapon. Besides killing the enemy,I see little that we can do. Sure,we can wait for the elections as we are chained. The left has us in their teeth.
“Deaths? The more the better. Unemployment? The more the better. Businesses shut down forever? The more the better. National Debt? The more the better.”
Since the 60s the motto of the left has been, “Worse is better.”
Anything that harms America and Americans is a win for them.
It’s not reasonable to decimate the economy and put tens of millions out of work and destitute waiting on slow to arrive government help. For a r
death toll no greater than any season.
The blowhards are the ones sitting home either with a paycheck still coming in or government funds and telling everyone else to fuck off
“But now, while the economy may be returned to almost normal by July...”
That would be great, but the info I read/hear indicates that 0% of corporate leaders believe that will be the case.
Fear is the mind killer.
Halle Barry will still be Hawt
They died of something else and it was blamed on the flu. Get with it.
I think things will slowly improve, probably ebb a bit in the next wave, then get back to normal when a vaccine comes along.
Depends on which phase of this you’re referring to. The people who initially followed the president’s recommendations about social distancing weren’t “hiding in their houses and letting the bad guys win”.
There were also those who apparently believed that if they talked enough about what tough guys they were that the virus would run and hide. Those are the dumbass blowhards I was referring to.
Only if you cower at home
Of course you are right.
However that does not help the hotel or restaurant owner who has a mortgage payment to be made tomorrow who probably missed the last payment as well....
Multi-million dollar buildings are built with borrowed money, staffed with people who must be paid every two weeks.
Telling them that everything will be OK by the end of the year is not going to help them.
What is needed is to get the government, both local and national, totally out of what should be business decisions.
Understand, people will be leery of large gatherings for a long time, no matter what the government does.
I love the hospitality folks.
There will be weddings. There will be celebrations.
But I will go the rest of my life without going to another convention.
There very likely may never be a safe Chinese Bioweapon vaccine, just as there is no aids vaccine.
As with Malaria prophylactic treatment will be made to suffice.
There will be. This will not last much longer.
This is true.
Patience.
