To believe it was of natural origin one would have to believe the core corona virus picked up BOTH HIV and Ebola spike proteins in an area where AIDS is rare and Ebola is unknown!

I’m not sure that I agree with the good doctor’s notion that nature will scrub out the tinkered portions of the virus. As far as I know, mutations are a more-or-less random thing (e.g., the S and L strains with this virus. Nobody has theorized, as far as I know, that nature’s intent with these strains (up to 8 so far) was to slowly but surely eliminate the virus’s tinkered portions.)
