Dr Luc Montagnier...
- discovered the HIV virus in 1983
- Nobel Prize winner for Medicine in 2008

Why should we expect anything useful from him? We have the “science” writers at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, Slate, HuffPo, et al to inform us of the “real” science.

There was a really interesting tidbit buried in the article, that potentially gives hIm even more authority to speak on the situation:

—> According to the 2008 Nobel Prize for Medicine, a plausible explanation would be an accident in the Wuhan laboratory. He also added that the purpose of this work was the search for an AIDS vaccine.

Dr Montagnier listened to the veterinarian at the CDC that suspected that the GRIDS virus was a retrovirus. The arrogant doctors and researchers at the CDC gave the veterinarian short shrift in the barnstorming sessions. The doctors at the CDC are still f’ ups. During the SARS outbreak they had to bring in Dr. Bryan (a veterinary virologist) from the the University of Tennessee who had been researching coronaviruses all of his professional career and lend his expertise to those at the CDC.
