wait...I did have an Audi...I had 74 Audi Fox. Bought it from my cousin for 400 bucks. The speedometer was pegged @ 134k.
I had starter problems so I parked on an uprise in the parking lot at work. released the brake, started rolling, popped the clutch and i was good to go. I eventually rewired the starter.

Had 78 Impala station wagon...and a 78 Jeep Wagoneer

That’s how I had to start my first car, too. It was light enough that I didn’t need much of a hill.

Are we on a car slide? :-) Yay!

I loved reading about all the old car experiences :-)

- long slide post following . . .

My dad bought a 1965 Mustang in .. 1965. He gave it to me when I started driving, 1973. Gave it to my son when he graduated from high school, he sold it to his sister a long time ago. It’s been sitting in the back of my husband’s shop for 15 years. My dad kept asking if we were going to restore it because he would like to ride in it again. (He’s 89)

My son in law moved it out of my husband’s shop without daughter knowing it, and had it completely restored and surprised my daughter with it on their 20th anniversary in October. She cried and said she had been so afraid my dad, her grandfather, would not get a chance to ride in it again. So we drove it over to his town and she took him for a ride.

When this quarantine is over we are going back because he wants to have some more pictures made with it.

Sorry for the long slide addition - I love old cars and old car stories :-)
