I went to the ATM at the Family Express, and once I withdrew $200 out of my account, I looked at the available balance still left in my account, he said.
He said his account had $8.2 million in it. He was only supposed to receive $1,700.

Nah - they’ll charge him interest on the interest and add a hefty fine for not protecting his account from their mistakes...
I did have to go input my info at the IRS website despite the fact I already filed 2019 and paid via bank account.
go to the IRS website and click on the get my payment. they’ll check the status and let you know if they need bank info. I got a refund for 2018 and owed for 2019 (already filed in Feb) but I had to input bank info. Married filing joint either spouse can use their info to check and input data.
