Rita Wilson, who announced she had contracted the coronavirus with her husband Tom Hanks last month, warned that taking the chloroquine drug that has been touted by the White House as a "game changer," caused her "extreme side effects."
The couple has since recovered from their infection that was reported on March 11, after quarantining in Australia, where they caught the illness.
Hanks cited milder symptoms than Wilson, who was given the contentious drug chloroquine for her treatment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Also, the side effects she described seem minor when compared to an inability to breath, hospitalization, intubation in an ICU, and possibly death. I've been nauseous after a long night of drinking and dancing, or from a rough boat ride. It isn't that serious of a side effect.
Here is what the CDC says about taking Chloroquine to protect yourself while traveling. Nausea is a possible side effect, described as a "minor side effect" by the CDC, so Rita Wilson shouldn't have been surprised by her experience.
If she was taking Chloroquine to protect against malaria while vacationing on the beach somewhere we would not be reading about her "side effects".
Oh and she is an expert cuz she is tied to Hollywood.

It is used without zinc in India to protect health care workers from infection, so it probably has some benefit alone.

So, they DID take it.
And got better.
And complained about it to make a political point.
The article says she took chloroquine, which has more side effects than hydrochloroquine. Did she also take Z-Pak or zinc? Muscle weakness is a known symptom of the virus. How does she know that her muscle weakness was caused by the chloroquine and not the virus?
Rita Wilson must have got woke by all her liberal friends when she returned to the USA and had to put a bad spin on chloroquine.
Rita Wilson is a 63 year old cancer survivor, putting her in 2 high risk categorizes for the virus and yet she LIVED!
But I’m sure it has nothing to do with the bad orange man’s medicine.
Which also are symptoms of the virus strangely enough. Nice of her to diagnose them as "side effects" from the medicine.
She dutifully recites the left’s talking point. Well trained!
Would have been nice if the reporter had bothered to find out if she took CQ or HCQ.
Maybe her fever broke naturally, but the medication allowed her to make it to that point without her body going into overdrive to kill the infection AND her. I wonder what other meds she was given.
I take Benadryl sometimes when I experience allergy symptoms and can’t clear my throat. I usually only take 1/2 a pill because I don’t want to fall asleep during school or while driving. It can make me dizzy as well. But I like breathing and swallowing, so I take it when needed. There are many drugs that have side effects. They aren’t cures. They help give your body a chance to overcome.

Should never have given them the meds. Totally unappreciative. Should have denied them the drug and let them suffer without.
Was the recover one of those extreme side effects?
Nausea, dizziness and muscle weakness is also a symptom of Wuhan Flu.
but if true, perhaps she should have experienced death as a side effect from not taking the drugs....then she would have something to complain about...
