No it isn’t. Also the death curve is supposed to be delayed with social distancing. So one could easily make a good case that US deaths will continue after Sweden’s deaths have drastically slowed.

Flattening the curve means lengthening the curve.
Even Fauci and Birx would acknowledge that.

We have chosen to suppress the death spike in exchange
for putting up with this longer. Cases in Sweden will slowly drop to zero before ours do.

Per capita, our rates are 2/3 of Sweden's and our country has many more potential hot spots.

That said, I think we could have struck a different balance, but since it would have caused numerous more deaths, the buying into the panic by so many dictated that we be more extreme - looser handling of this would have created a firestorm that may very well have handed the WH and possibly the Senate to the Dems...we now have a chance at full control if we stick with the President.
