Looking at Sweden’s Coronavirus worldometer (every country has one) There doesn’t seem to be any appreciable difference between the infection curve there and the infection curve of other countries. Same goes for the death curve. Yet Sweden chose not to destroy its economy with a massive lockdown.
It is surprising that a country like Sweden, a fan of the UN and home to many socialists, went its own way and discovered a better way than just about every other country.

The tyrants who run Travis County and the City of Austin passed a similar ordinance yesterday. They extended the lockdown until May 8 and require everyone to wear a face mask in public or risk a $1000 fine and/or 180 days in jail. The urban outdoorsmen and women are exempt, natch.

I readily admit I was one of the early supporters of the Quarantine.
As time had gone on and the mortality rate has stayed on par with the common flu, I have realized the destruction of the US economy and maybe even our way of life are at higher risk than the impact of the whu-han flu.
It’s going to be interesting to see who they arrest and if they jail those folks. The county/city leadership are completely drunk on this power.
I’m not acting like it’s unprecedented, but it definitely is in my lifetime. It’s nonsense for them to do this.

I do have concerns about our liberties. And mostly because of the sheeple that are scared senseless.
Actually I think rules will be retracted, but the idea of sheeple themselves changing the culture for this...stupid elbow bumps, standing away from others, wearing masks because it’s “safe”....is what is most likely to me.
We already changed to the stupid “cough/sneeze in your elbow” maneuver, done without any panic to boost it. (In my elbow? I pull ligaments in the armpit AND I can hit something with my hand I just threw over my shoulder! Try coughing just below the wrist.)
The best I hate to say may be the oriental way...bow only.
