I was a very young kid when the original Perry Mason was on. There was something about the theme that screamed “serious courtroom drama” even though I was far too young to understand. Still resonates with me that way to this day.

“The Fugitive, starring David Janseen.”
Interesting. I was going to suggest that as well - music by Peter Rugulo. Rugulo wrote the theme and a bunch of variations on the theme and had a marathon recording session with an orchestra. Between those sessions and some other off-the-shelf canned music they had 4 years of music done for that series before it started.

The Outer Limits, especially the somber verbal announcement "For the next 30 minutes, there is no need for you to touch your television set! We will control the vertical, we will control the horizontal..."
The guy just died that recorded his voice only at age 81, and not of coronavirus.

That reminds me, The NBC Nightly News with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley, back when there was at least a pretense of real news.
Beethoven’s Ninth, First Movement.
