In 2004, deep in the wilderness of China’s Yunnan province, a group of scientists from the Wuhan Institute of Virology discovered a cave full of wild bats carrying hundreds of SARS-related viruses.
Their work, published in a draft paper in 2005, unearthed the link between SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) and bats for the first time.
Now the virologist who led that study, Shi Zhengli, has revealed one of the strains found in that cave — the exact location of which is a closely guarded secret — is almost identical to the 2019-nCoV coronavirus which has so far killed at least 1,115 people and infected more than 45,000 worldwide.

i thought that to find the cave all one has to do is slide down the batpole in the study of stately Wayne Manor.
Poison them all with gas or seo off a small nuclear device inside, kill them all. I hate bats anyway.
For the benefit of folks, Yunnan is about 60-percent the size of Texas.

We have some caves and nearby Carlsbad Caverns (in NM) has a huge population of them. BUT Texas does not have a Level 4 Bio Lab and unlike the ChiComs we do not plan wars with bio weapons.

Yep, it is a closely secret, inside the Level 4 Lab in Wuhan. It is close match, because it was genetically modified to allow animal to human infection.
"Secret caves" are like "anonymous references"...I think I read a hardy Boys book that may have had that cave in it...

Bats in caves are small, very small. Fruit bats that dwell in trees and are large enough eaten by humans and purchased in wet markets, dwell in trees.
So, did the virus come from a Chinese cave at night or a wet market in the day?
Size comparison only helps to explain valley and cave issue. Lot of evidence to suggest non-weapons lab start up. Also, this Australian wonder-drug being discussed, two days with this drug halts the virus entirely, has an interesting connection....made for lice infections. Might make you wonder if lice trigged the bat disease.
Create a problem and sell the solution at a high price?
More likely an accidental release, BUT their purchase of masks and gowns in huge quantities reveals another side. Something you would expect from the ChiCom’s running China.
It is an engineered bio-weapon.
The giveaway is the 5 day window of infectious but not symptomatic.
With most diseases it’s a day or two from exposure to symptoms.
IMHO, this was a test of a bio-weapon feature to be incorporated in future projects.
