That could have been a misunderstanding. If Becky were white, Beyonce would have said or sung "Becky the white Girl," not "Becky with the good hair," but people wanted to racialize it so they started using Becky to refer to white chicks. The real-life "Becky" may have been (Asian) Indian - with good hair, but not white.
"Karen" is also generational. Lots of Karens were born in the Fifties and Sixties. Not so many in the Nineties and later. I'd rather they made fun of names like "Madison" and "McKenzie," but age seems to be a factor in the insult.
News flash for white feminists: black folks hate you.
Queen of the cafeteria.
You’d think these idiots would have better things to worry about.
Dear Juli:
STFU “Karen”, and get back in the kitchen. And get me a beer while you’re there.
Just another liberal psychopath with an axe to grind...
Only obnoxious, narcissistic, spoiled women.
The rest of us call it what it is: the voice of experience.
+1
and they ask to speak with the manager everywhere they go...
I’ve usually heard “Becky” as a reference to “Becky with the good hair”. From the Beyonce song “Sorry”.
White girl that “stole” your black boyfriend.
The ‘oppression olympics’ get more bizarre everyday.
Sort of a “black cafeteria” I guess. I guess that makes me a ‘Karen’, lol!
I think there is a clear class divide between people of any race with names like “Karen” as opposed to people with names like “Nefeteria” and “Nevaeh.”
Remember the Nevaeh fad ... “Heaven” spelled backward? All those poor kids are stuck with it.
That “divide”, I believe, is as much psychological as economic. Those blacks which aspired to be or remain middle class, didn’t give their children such weird names.
I agree. I think it’s a lifestyle choice.
My ex wife is named Karen.
Neferteria could be right.
the nicest people I know are named Karen
Oddly enough we were thinking along the same lines... but my translation came out
Immature socially retarded moron with the intellect of "dung"
Baby sister’s name. The name Karen is a girl’s name of Danish origin meaning “pure”. Karen is a Danish diminutive of Katherine, an English name derived from the Greek Aikaterine.
She is a selfish witch, I’ve not spoken or seen since she refused to come to our only brother’s memorial, out partying with her friends. She told dad no when he told her at 5 yrs old to pick up her toys, he spanked her, she said no again. He came from a abusive home so let it go. I’D kept spanking till she did it. I raised 3 boys who were less trouble. She and middle sister had those knock down hair pulling fights. Glad I was already out of the house. SPOILED BRAT to this day.
My Ex MIL used to send food back to the kitchen for petty reasons fairly often when she dined out.
My kids, her grandkids broke her of that when they told her she’s probably already ingested countless kitchen staff spit from having done it so much over the years.
