Its just the flu, bro.
A few things to watch for at the state level: 1. More tyranny in various states with heavy handed approaches to social distancing. 2. More good news in treatment front - ventilator bad...hydroxychloroquine (sp?) good....but how many states are making things worse by denying the medicine because they hate Trump. 3. Which states are going to keep the lockdown even after Trump/CDC says to end it. 4. And just a comment - I like how Trump allows states to do what they want.
And also note that these death stats are trash and lies. They want Corona funding.
The curve was flattened and hospitals arent overrun...so declare mission accomplished and open everything up. Reframe victory as a successfully flattened curve, in order to extract us from this mess.
CDS = Covid Derangement Syndrome
...another consequence of the 19th Amendment..
Having our regular weekly happy hour gathering with the neighbors this afternoon.
That would be awesome...the rest of the country would soon fully appreciate that Texas is the best.
You think the curve will stay flat if you reopen this soon? You still have 33,000 new cases a day in America.
We're not prepared to reopen yet. Where are the masks for the general public? Is the testing ready. Is the contact tracing ready.
Reopen now and the cases will spike and the lockdown will be for naught.
Iran is claiming 4,770 fewer active cases today, 6,482 recoveries versus 1,837 new cases, 125 deaths.

“Its literally like living in a foreign culture. Everyone running around so full of fear, I dont know how to act around them.”
Yes, that’s exactly how I feel going to the store these days.
Herd immunity is coming sooner or later...I want as soon as possible. And hospitals will not be overrun. Overall hospitals are less busy now.
The same country claims when the world is on fire the 12th Imam is gonna climb out of a well and save them?
Tell it to Travis, DannyTN ....
I highly recommend watching Risen, maybe more than once.
I wonder how many of the people here singing the praises of this overreaction have lost their jobs and are worrying about their finances.
yes, I just saw it last night. moving and awesome. I have a copy of “the passion” , but I’m almost afraid to watch it how powerful an emotional reaction my wife and I will have. but tomorrow I will pray and I will watch.
I've been thinking about this for a while, and though I agree with you that cases will spike once the lock down is over, I don't share your concern that all will have been for naught. My concern lies with what governments will do and what will happen if they try to lock down the citizens again. There are far too many of us who see the current response as trying to kill a snake with a cannon when a BB gun would have been sufficient, and I just can't see them(us) complying with another lock down.
I agree with the Freepers who said that they feel like they are living in another country. It seems that when I go out, people are looking at each other with fear and suspicion. The main stream media's campaign of fear mongering worked far better than I believe they thought it would. I don't see the same level of trust people had for each other returning for quite some time. Especially with the "experts" now saying that it will take over a year for the CV to pass.
For those of you who are terrified at the prospect of CV and what it is doing and what it might do: The world is not a safe place. It never has been and it never will be. We(Americans)live in an exceptional place where much of the fear this world has to offer has been mitigated or removed, but that hasn't stopped the world from being an unsafe place. I would like to ask you, "Why this?" And, "Why now?" What is it about dying from CV that is so much worse than dying from the flu, or cancer or excessive physical trauma or drowning or....I think you get my point. (I probably should have added, "or gunshot"). Why do you believe that it is OK for the government to severely limit the freedoms our forebears worked so hard to secure for us? Is your safety(security) really worth the chains you are willing binding yourself with and insisting the rest of us be bound with? Do you really think the government will easily or fully release you(us) from those chains once you(we) are bound? Look to New York or New Orleans or Detroit and see that they are suffering greatly from this dread disease, but don't react to that with fear and cowering. Rather look to the fact that the freedoms we experience have already gained for us remedies(palliatives) against CV, test that take minutes instead of days or hours to determine if a person has contracted CV, and instead of taking years to develop a vaccine we have developed one in months. God has not spared us from CV, but he has given us an incredible resilience and the means to fight CV, and we should entreat Him for His mercy in this time and fight this thing with everything we have rather than cower in fear from it.
FearBros know the jig is up. They are becoming less and less vocal.
#openamericanow was trending on twitter earlier. That’s a good sign.
I was reading the “covirus” thread and made a couple of what I thought were reasonable comments that differed from the “party” line. The leftist-acting fearpers there attacked me personally and in a threatening manner. These people are mentally unbalanced. Such panic, fear-driven drivel and rudeness. Such pathetic weakness...
Thats very surprising. I went to the supermarket Thursday, and while a lot of people were wearing masks, they were also lingering in the aisles chatting with workers, no visible terror among them. I saw absolutely no one scowling at or scolding anyone who was not wearing a mask. They were doing the things shoppers always do, telling their partner to go pick up something they forgot in another aisle, calling home to see if the shopping list was right, etc. People seemed to be taking the disease seriously, and a few of them looked nervous, but for most it seemed to be just regular shopping, plus maybe a mask.
Welcome to the party, pal. They have a lot of freeze-dried food to eat. It gets quite old bland after a few meals.
When do you think we will be ready? 2 months? 6 months? More? Less?
