A California woman is accused of licking nearly $2,000 worth of grocery store items at a Safeway supermarket near Lake Tahoe.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to a report Wednesday of a customer licking groceries inside of the store.
Employees say the woman, Jennifer Walker, 53, of South Lake Tahoe, licked and then stole several pieces of jewelry and other goods.
A Safeway employee told the police the $1,800 in goods were unsellable due to the cross-contamination due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Police arrested Walker on one count of felony vandalism and booked her into the El Dorado County Jail.

Typical Democrat.
...and left side of the Bell Curve.
Way to go dumbass.
Enjoy being a felon.
She hit the Ugly Tree all the down her Family Tree
She would be buying that $2000 in groceries, bet.
How cheap was the jewelry that it can’t be disinfected? On the second thought, who goes to a grocery store to buy jewelry?? California ... you ARE weird!

Yeah, I think I'd keep an eye on her if she walked into my store.
I wish someone would lay a baseball bat across the teeth of one of these idiots. I’d like to see a video of that go viral. (No pun intended)
Yea. I’m thinking she should be able to skate with an insanity defense. She looks crazy enough. She’s one the lawyer isn’t going to want to get cleaned up for trial.
What would be appropriate punishment? Maybe, cut her tongue off?
There was a good one the other day we’re going to YouTube to check it out. Search on YouTube for “guy spits on oranges, gets covid-19 slapped out of his soul”
They should cut off her tongue as punishment, she will never be able to lick anything ever again
They’ll put the stuff on an end counter, mark it up for labor costs to move it, and sell it for a profit.
If they were sealed containers and not fruits or vegetables, there is just as much chance of getting the virus on anything you touch in a grocery store as previous customers have touched them. If it’s in a container, wipe it down with pop up wipes, and sell it for a 30% markup rather than 75% normal. It isn’t a write off unless it is vegetables or fruit. And they should be rested in solutions at home as you should do that anyway. But it will depend on how their insurance policy for loss is written whether they get cost or sale price. To the buyer, the outside of the container will be considered compromised when it left the store. Makes no difference.

She obviously wanted to get arrested but CA has made it nearly impossible to get arrested without killing someone and even then it depends.
I was quickly scanning the titles and skipped first word “Women” and thought they were talking about Trump.
More like under the bell. She's probably a mental defective on vacation from Portland or Seattle.
