Urns in Wuhan far exceed death toll, raising more questions about Chinas tally
A single mortuary has had 5,000 urns delivered over the past two days, double the city’s reported coronavirus death toll
Sounds good!
Here is the link, https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cleaning-disinfection.html
In my town, there was an incident a week or so ago in which 66 residents and 10 staff in a nursing home on the other side of town tested positive. So come on up to my soon-to-be-hot town and enjoy the hospitality. Just don’t go to the hardware store. It closed down yesterday and today for some reason, with black trash bags covering the insides of the glass doors. I’m guessing some deep cleaning and inventory disposal due to a customer or staffer testing positive was going on in there.
Nobody has any business traveling as a tourist right now. Those folks should get the heck back home.
More than 2,200 have died of coronavirus inside nursing homes, but feds arent tracking the numbers.
The report comes as The New York Times on Saturday reported equally disturbing numbers regarding coronavirus deaths at nursing homes in New York and New Jersey.
As of Friday, more than half of New Yorks 613 licensed nursing homes had reported coronavirus infections, with 4,630 total positive cases and 1,439 deaths, the Times reported.
In New Jersey, nursing homes had been linked to 252 virus-related deaths, more than 90 of them in the past two days, according to the paper. At least 70 percent of the states long care centers have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The story is not about whether theres COVID-19 in the nursing homes, Scott LaRue, chief executive of ArchCare, operator of five nursing homes in New York, told the paper. The story is, why arent they being treated with the same respect and the same resources that everyone else out there is? Its ridiculous.

And never mind the ones they just tossed into the 40 industrial incinerators.
You’re welcome. Just saw a NJ doc tweet that he’s going to work today looking forward to hearing “Here Comes The Sun” in the overhead music. I think that song is going to be remembered by these medics all their lives as a ‘victory over covid19’ song.

Im trying to include some age and race information in my posts today because we keep hearing blacks have more severe outcomes. Im not sure the data supports that (?)
Been to the northeast during nor'easter season?
We went to visit my son in NH for Thanksgiving one year just as nor'easter was hitting.
The storm knocked out power for almost a week, and all around us, generators were humming along. He had just bought his house and did not have one, although he did have a coal stove for heat.
The stores were still all stocked with batteries, water, LED lights, bread, milk, etc in the stores.
Those folks are READY up in the New England states.
Plus, do you have any idea how desolate it is up there???
You have to be stocked.

A 58-year-old woman hospitalized in the Henry Ford Health System who has the new coronavirus developed a rare complication: encephalitis.
In a case report published online Tuesday in the journal Radiology, a team of doctors say the woman tested positive for the coronavirus, but also developed a case of acute necrotizing encephalitis, or ANE, a central nervous infection that mostly afflicts young children.
