There is a great little western NC community radio station that plays music like this and a whole lot more. I have it streaming every day while I work around the house.

She was on our flight to John Princes All The Best Fest last October. Very low key, was flying coach. Did a great set. Was a wonderful event, and we got to see John 4 nights in a row.

"How do you find real music like this?" Tune in to your nearest NPR station. NPR at night features various music programs showcasing country music, folk, delta blues, jazz, rockabilly. This is real Americana, not the processed pablum of Top 40 radio. I'm fond of Appalachian music. There's a program on NPR called "Mountain Stage" that's awesome. Another way, just dive in to YouTube videos. One artist leads to another. You can google artists' or bands' names. This also leads to other artists who have played with them or who have recorded versions of their songs. You can also zero in on certain radio stations offering streaming. Try wwoz.org out of New Orleans.

Amazing lyrics from two teen age sisters...
“Emmylou” by First Aid Kit
Oh the bitter winds are coming in
And I’m already missing the summer
Stockholm’s cold but I’ve been told
I was born to endure this kind of weather
When it’s you I find like a ghost in my mind
I am defeated and I gladly wear the crown
I’ll be your Emmylou and I’ll be your June
If you’ll be my Gram and my Johnny too
No, I’m not asking much of you
Just sing little darling, sing with me
Now so much I know that things just don’t grow
If you don’t blessed them with your patience
And I’ve been there before I held up the door
For every stranger with a promise
But I’m holding back, that’s the strength that I lack
Every morning keeps returning at my window
And it brings me to you and I won’t just pass through
But I’m not asking for a storm
I’ll be your Emmylou and I’ll be your June
If you’ll be my Gram and my Johnny too
No, I’m not asking much of you
Just sing little darling, sing with me
And yes I might have lied to you
You wouldn’t benefit from knowing of the truth
I was frightened but I held fast
I need you now at long last
I’ll be your Emmylou and I’ll be your June
If you’ll be my Gram and my Johnny too
No, I’m not asking much of you
Just sing little darling, sing with me
I’ll be your Emmylou and I’ll be your June
If you’ll be my Gram and my Johnny too
No, I’m not asking much of you
Just sing little darling, sing with me
Just sing little darling, sing with me

Her performance of Evangeline with The Band on Last Waltz is amazing.

Yes, I do listen to Mountain Stage.
I guess there is good stuff on satellite radio.
At work I'm stck with pop/bro "country" and classic rock.
Local university radio station plays some good music...and some bad.

I saw her live once. Unforgettable.

Got to admit, never heard of her but I'm a fan now. Funny how these video postings work; kinda like going out to pick up the mail and before you get back in the house, you've already cut the grass then washed the car......LOL!
Started out with Emily, then Emily and Mark Knophler, then capped it off with my all time favorite, Dire Straits' Sultans of Swing.......
