I have no opinion about 5G as yet, but associating a disease with every "electromagnetic upgrade" is pure cherry-picking of the data. Diseases come and go, so you'll always be able to find one associated with a given year, more or less.

I don't believe that radio was sufficiently widespread in 1917 to create a flu. I blame WW1.

The energy levels are ridiculously low. I’ve more credulity for 5G having some effect on the virus’ effectiveness itself than nebulous correlations. If the little crowns all over the virus absorb energy at 5G frequencies or a harmonic thereof, it could conceivably make the structure more effective at teasing open the cell wall...
