The obvious solution is to back up 75 years and start doing school correctly.

It wouldn't even be hard. We do know how to do this stuff. We just need the desire to do it.

Amen! Yet these same children think they are smarter than anyone living or dead. Parents have been befriending their children instead of teaching them basic life skills for the past 30 yrs.

Related to the short attention span, I think, is a complete inability to focus their thoughts. I have had man conversations with people which follow this line:

“So, there was this guy, and — anyway, last week, we got together — but wait — remember that car we saw? Because this guy knows the one who — whatever. So we went there and it’s like I said, she totally didn’t want to, whatever. So, anyway, I just went “Later”.”

Nothing but mush in the head.

I have a question for you, since you’re promoting your writing on Canada Free Press. Is Sean_Anthony a real person?

Never mind 500 years in the future. We have arrived. Anyone who can really think is tarded. Yay Idiocracy!

Run schools like military academys. Kids act up? Put them im straight jackes and muzzles. When ACLU and lawyers sue, ignore them.

Drive around my area and you’ll see chest coolers at all the mailboxes for families with school-aged children. Those are for the free breakfasts and lunches that school buses are now delivering every day for every kid under age 19.

Apparently it’s too damned difficult for a teenager to make a sandwich for lunch.

Visit our local food shelf and you’ll find a group of 20-somethings waiting impatiently while another group of folks in their 70’s try to put together meal boxes for them. I’ve been told fights sometimes break out at the food shelf when some item runs out.

This school-aged generation doesn’t merely lack respect for their elders - they have been taught to despise them by social justice warrior teachers.

One thing this crisis has shown, is that schools no longer teach how Federalism is supposed to work.

Teachers and administrators are worried parents and society will find out kids do equal or better learning at homethan at govt indoctrination centers. And be in a safer environment where the adults don’t view them as sexual appetizers.

Loss of the use of corporal punishment as a deterrent to bad behavior. Judiciously applied, corporal punishment is a great extrinsic motivator to keep a kid from disobeying. Not saying we should hit kids, just that there is no mechanism where you can break down their resistance. Bullies do it all the time to control their peers. All teachers can do is ask, request, plead, argue, debate, convince, cajole, beg, deal, negotiate, threaten, but in the end if the kid doesn’t want to go along or to get along, the effort is wasted, and a great deal of time is consumed. I laugh at liberals who don’t believe in corporal punishment, they sowed and now they reap.

Another thing about teachers, many of them do not have children of their own. You wouldn’t believe how many teachers don’t have any kids, but they know better than you how kids should be raised.

I hope you don't teach spelling, sweetie.

The children are being fed a toxic soup. Do we continue to feed this poison to children while the schools are in the process of being reformed?

Parents! Remove your children immediately!

I'm helping instruct my grand niece who is in third grade since I am a retired teacher. Here is an example of how they expect the kids to answer one of her math problems.

8x50

(8x5) tens

40x10

40x10=400.

“How about the student who didn’t know how to peel a carrot?”

Geez. I learned this in Montessori school when I was four years old. They let us cut them, too. With an actual knife.
