“We have to decide who gets the vent.”
A self-proclaimed registered nurse took to Twitter to suggest that she would not give someone emergency medical treatment for coronavirus if he was a Trump supporter.
The nurse was responding to a man called George S. Martan who posted a photo of himself wearing a face mask with ‘Trump 2020’ embroidered onto it.
“My wife sewed this face mask today to protect me from the Wuhan Virus and show support for President Trump,” commented the man.
’ll see you in ER. Please wear your mask so when we have to decide who gets the vent, it’ll be easier. Thanks

“I’ll see you in ER. Please wear your mask so when we have to decide who gets the vent, it’ll be easier. Thanks,” responded Erika Waters, who describes herself as a registered nurse practitioner in her bio.
Waters has several anti-Trump hashtags in her bio, including #Resist, #GunReform and #BLM (Black Lives Matter).
She immediately faced the wrath of other Twitter users, including one who pointed out, “Medical homicide via negligence is the third leading cause of death in the United States.”
Others tagged the Florida medical board in an attempt to alert health authorities to the threat, with one tweeting, “Hope your medical malpractice carrier doesn’t see this.”
Waters later claimed that people were targeting the wrong nurse with the same name, remarking, “Your conduct is just as horrid as mine while you are doxxing every nurse named Erika Waters.”
She also subsequently apologized to Martan, tweeting, “I was not thinking, obviously, when I suggested you wear your mask into the ER where I work. I can’t explain why I tweeted that and hope you’ll forgive me but understand if you don’t.”

This bitch needs to have her license stripped.
Definitely. Folks like this sully the reputations of all medical professionals who are giving so much at this time. Bad sign of the times.
I remember when I was in nursing school, Nixon was in the hospital with a blood clot in his leg. I joked with my nursing instructor, who hated him, that if she was caring for him she could massage the clot, which would cause it to lodge in his heart or lungs.
She very seriously told me if she was his nurse, he would get the best care.
I never forgot that lesson in ethical care.
They’re coming out of the woodwork now
I see she likes skydiving. Imagine if the person packing her parachute decided he didn’t like Demonrats.
“I cant explain why I tweeted that”
Yeah, sure. Maybe temporary insanity due to TDS?
I’ll never understand people who willing throw their careers away.
She writes like a person that lives in an echo chamber. She didn’t seem to expect anyone to disapprove of the bile that she was spewing, not anyone whose opinion matters to her, anyway.
Fake apology. Sorrynotsorry
I donated several N95 masks to my MIL. They are in their 70’s and I knew that they would benefit from my gift. She texted me this morning wanting more masks for her friends.
They are all bleeding-heart liebrals. I did what I could, now I have to protect my family.
Take her license! Makes you wonder how many other ‘health care heroes’ think like this..?
She needs to lose her license
Meh, she should be fired, but I have heard worse on FR on any given day.
I wonder if she works for the VA, I don’t know about the workers at the VA but my God you talk to those old folks at a VA hospital and almost all of them are die hard Democrats that just hate Trump. My gut feeling is most of the Doctors are the same way at those Old VA facilities, they are die hard Democrats that hate Trump, and probably couldn’t get a job anyway except the VA.
Good point. Even I have a bad day once in a while.
She obviously is more familiar with the hypocritic oath than the hippocratic oath.
She deleted her account. She may have actually heard her self and woken up form Trump Derangement Syndrome or the hospital has put her on notice and needed to shut her account off to keep her job
I was thinking of something more serious than that. At 76, that's a death threat to me.
Here in north Idaho we have a letter to the editor in the local Bonner County Daily Bee by a “renowned” thoracic surgeon from Couer d’Alene who threatens to withhold ventilator treatment from our county sheriff and conservative state representative should they need it because they publicly challenged the legality of the governor’s “Stay at Home” orders. In my 40+ years of medical practice I have never read anything so disgusting. I hope that the aggrieved parties file a complaint with the Idaho Board of Medicine.
She will be and have her license revoked too!
Your tag line is 100% right. Anyone who thinks other than that is a fool.
