Researchers at Thomas Jefferson University said Tuesday they have developed a COVID-19 vaccine candidate, as nearly 1.4 million cases of the virus have been confirmed across the world. Matthias Schnell, director of the Jefferson Vaccine Center in Philadelphia, said Coravax is made from part of the current coronavirus, which is combined with another proven vaccine that serves as a carrier. “The benefit is that the ‘carrier’ vaccine has already been rigorously tested, and shown to be safe and effective," Schnell said. Schnell notes manufacturing plants around the world already have the technological know-how to produce large quantities of the carrier vaccine.

On the one hand, the ability of biotech to rapidly re-deploy and re-purpose existing tech like this shows that in many cases, we’ve moved past the science, and can start engineering these things.
On the other, the enemy has the same capabilities. And every bad actor in the world has had a front-row seat to observe the western democracies response to a new infectious agent. They are certainly taking notes.
In conventional Democrat wisdom, Jefferson was a racist rapist and anything with his name on it should be torn down and discarded as racist institutions.

Are there any vaccines for the first 18 covids? Companies have tried to create a vaccine for the common cold, which is also a coronavirus, without success. Don’t get too excited.
