The Wisconsin GOP Is Risking Voters’ Lives to Protect Its Minority Rule
NY Mag ^ | 4/07/20 | Eric Levitz

The Republican Party is willing to get people killed to immunize itself from the threat of democratic accountability.

Whatever happens in Wisconsin’s primary and State Supreme Court elections Tuesday, that should be the headline.

**SNIP**

By Monday, it was clear that Wisconsin had no means of holding a free and fair election this week. A majority of the state’s poll workers had announced that they were not willing to jeopardize their lives by greeting continuous streams of voters for hours on end (in often tightly packed and poorly ventilated quarters). In Milwaukee, election officials revealed that they only had enough staffing to open five of the city’s 180 polling locations. This development not only threatened to disenfranchise Milwaukee voters who do not live in close proximity to those five polling places, it also rendered turning out to vote even more dangerous for those who do, as a greater number of voters will be forced to crowd into a smaller number of locations. In light of these extraordinary circumstances, Evers issued an executive order Monday barring in-person voting in the April 7 election. Republicans in the legislature asked the State’s Supreme Court to block the order; all four (non-recused) conservative judges on that court ruled that the election must go on, overriding the objections of their two liberal colleagues.

KILLED! In all honesty, I fear the dark morning drive more than the Wuhu flu.

If it’s safe to go to Wal-mart, it’s safe to vote.

Well, Governor Tommy Evers really did give it his best shot.

Thank God the only thing he hit was his own foot.

Bless his heart.

This whole article is a lie. This liar wants to cover up voter fraud to keep his minority party in power.

It’s simply whining for the sake of preparing for large scale whining if the same attempt to make our National vote in November a mail in joke is also rejected.

Gee. Do y’all remember the pictures of those Iraqi citizens stnding in lines waiting for the opportunity to get their index finger dyed purple? They were exposed to a high probability of getting nailed by a sniper who wanted to “disenfranchise” their votes.

Come to think about it, maybe that’s what the democRATs want ANTIFA for.....

The Communist Wing of the Media. Let me restate this: The Media, since they are all part of the Communist Wing, are in full attack mode on the primary election in Wisconsin because it is an immediate and serious threat to the Democrat plan to execute a nation wide voter fraud scheme to ensure that they win no matter what the American people prefer.

If they succeed, this election will represent the end of free and fair elections.

The Democrats are more likely to be hoping for Milwaukee to become a hot spot so they have an excuse to keep Biden in the basement.

Milwaukee is playing games with this issue in that they normally have 180 polling places. Today the had FIVE polling places, so of course they have long lines.

The Democrats in Wisconsin are murderers, because instead of resigning, they’re forcing people to risk their lives by going to the ballot box to remove them. How does that sound?

If you let this kind of thing go now, the Democraps will make up any kind of excuse they want whenever they’re losing an election to buy more time for cheating and vote harvesting. The law is the law.

Throughout history, Americans have braved Hurricanes, Blizzards, Wars, Flu Epidemic, Depressions, Civil War, Intimidation, Fears and MILES to vote. It is a sacred priviledge. There will be 30% of the Democrats who are fearful to get out, and it will be balanced by the 30%of the Republicans who stayed home. It is win the desire for Freedom is most visible when it is time for people to vote.

Going to vote was just like current Walmart rules.

DH & I arrived masked and gloved. There were tape markers every 6 feet inside and out. No one else was there at 10 am. 1/4 of eligible voters in our small townships had voted in person today.

There were 4 workers, all but one elderly and not all the usual workers, masked and gloved. 2 long tables, each 3’ wide were set up to create 6’ of distance. We filled out a form, name/address and took it to the double tables, pushed our IDs across so the worker could read it without touching.
We signed the book with complementary pencils that were ours to keep. We advanced to the machine, used the pencil eraser to select our choices, took our stickers and left.

10” and less risk than Walmart.

We had N95 masks left from a hoof & mouth outbreak years ago. They fit well and are hot and itchy. We discarded the gloves because we have a lot of them. The masks are segregated and will be exposed to ozone this evening, when we normally use ozone in the upstairs 2 room area with my computer and the TV, where we also eat dinner. We have fresh masks, as well.
