zpak (not zpak because zpak is a certain declining dosage, but that antibiotic) is what causes the potential heart problems. Doxycyclene does the same thing and is safer for preventing opportunistic infections because there is no heart risk. Zpak has some very minor antiviral activity but I dont think it makes a whits-worth of difference in the outcomes.

I suspect they would be better off giving a dose of Zinc Picolinate rather than sulfate because that has been shown to have some ability to pass cell walls on its own. I would also change to doxy to eliminate cardiac risk in at risk patients.

I am on Zinc Picolinate and Quercitin (Another Zinc tunnel maker like HCQ but not as potent) and vitamin D3 as my prophylaxis. (D3 shown in large doses to reduce both catching a viral pulmonary disease by 20% and its severity if you do catch it and deficiency increases risk by like 70%)
