Thank you. Was wondering about them. Very sad.
Sorry for their family’s loss but a soccer ball on open, choppy water should be an obvious write-off especially when taking a kid and a canoe (!?) out on it.
Seeing the name again reminded me of KKT’s run for governor. We were visiting MD for a few days and picking up the Baltimore Sun in the morning. Even then I thought I was inured to media bias but their cymbal-clanging, cartwheeling displays of ‘Vote for Kathleen’ in every so-called news article were appalling. It was less a newspaper and more a 100-page campaign flyer.
Even more insane was that we were in town at the time of the Beltway Sniper (Muslims of course) who was still at large. As we refueled our vehicle I wondered aloud ‘Why are we standing out in the open like this?’
Its interesting noting who dies between the Kennedys and Clintons
breaking news?
“If you build a wall i’ll build a Lego ladder” says her sign. Typical Liberal woman - not too smart.
Look it how terrible this writing is. The first 3 sentences all say the same thing in different ways. I guess they found the body on Monday.
no lifejacket for an 8 year old in a canoe on a windy day?.. kind of like piloting a small plane at night without being instrument rated?
All for a soccer ball.Yikes!
Kennedy clan had a love affair with the water and boats and cars.
Another Democrat got the Darwin Award. Really sad about her 8 year old son.
RIP.
Tragic situation.
A tragedy no doubt.
But one must be an idiot to take a child in a canoe into even a “protected” cove in the Chesapeake this time of year. The water is still ice cold and hypothermia will set in quickly if you capsize.
Update...still looking for the boy.
There once was a time when I would have felt bad for the family.
Reminds me of when I was a kid at Yosemite National Park with my family.
My brothers and I wanted to climb Half Dome. My Mom said, “If your hat blows off, you leave it! Don’t leave the trail!”
Sure enough, of course, my hat blows off my head while we’re going up the cables. I think about it, ‘cause it’s just a few feet away. Then the wind really hits, and off it goes, right off the rock.
I thought, “I sure hope Mom and Dad weren’t watching, from down there.”
No PDFs. Cold water. 25 knot winds. 3 foot waves. $10 ball. What could go wrong?
No mention of life jacket that I could see before the paywall kicked in.
The curse of the Kennedy legacy of druggin’, drinkin’ and drownin’
However, Kennedys are notorious for poor, arrogant decisions.
A lot of last names for that kid. Sad though...and for a stupid ball. Rest in peace.
