Merriam Webster online has three pronunciations:

Might have to do with regional accents. Don Jr. pronounces MAGA like the A in father. I pronounce it like the A in cat.

Aha, that’s how he pronounces it. My mother was raised in Maine and had some very interesting pronunciations. I that “spatula” was pronounced “spatuler” until I was about 12.
