The wife of Gov. Gavin Newsom said Wednesday that she's facing the same problems as millions of other Californians who are dealing with empty store shelves, closed schools and home confinement as social distancing measures take hold to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
“One rose amidst all of this — family dinners and no late night homework stress," tweeted Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who has four young children. “And nice to not have kids shuffling home late from sports and activities. And yes, unfortunately the thorn — we run out of toilet paper, paper towels, and Kleenex tomorrow. I wish people had not hoarded."
Her remarks were met with scorn. Several critics responded with the famous line attributed to Marie Antoinette: “Let them eat cake!”

Make sure it is the left hand. That’s what muslims use.
But being out of products is not above board everywhere. We have a name grocery store that is constantly out of stock of lysol in the store. But their delivery service has it. And while other stores are also out of stock, there are numerous independent delivery services that have it to deliver. Just got to shop at the right place....at home. This way they can mark it up and make more money. Simple supply and demand. You may get the supply, but they demand more profit.

I’m proud to say I haven’t thought about buying paper products since all this started, and am good for at least another month and a half. If I come across a big bundle I might buy, as much as anything so I could flip a dozen rolls at the kids, but really I’m good and am not hunting at all.

I remember Toys R Us and the “tomagotchi digital pet” craze of 1997.
TrU would order 4 tomagotchi, but fifty or more of the competing product “gigapet”.
This way they created a fake demand for a product and tried to push the competitor product as a replacement.
It was quite enlightening to witness.
2020 will be remembered asthe year TP supplies ran out.

Celebrity types feel left out and overlooked. The world’s focus has shifted to the virus. Therefore they claim to have the illness or be suffering as a result of the illness. It must be a terrible strain to have “followers” and feel that they are hanging on every word you type. And, then you feel your “relevance” drifting away. This is probably why Gretta Thunberg suddenly got “sick” and claimed it was Covid-19.

Seattle area Costco had a pile of TP, tissue and paper towels last week. (I bought enough in early February to last me awhile). And now my dreams of selling a roll at $20 each to fund my retirement are gone. /s

Funny - that is what I remember when I carry groceries or anything that might be contaminated with the virus. I use my left hand to carry it, and my right hand to hold the spray bottle, wipes, etc. Always think of those crazy muslims when I do it!

Then I know you understand why you never offer a left hand to a muslim, it’s an insult. This is why when our TV’s were showing Saddam rubbing the heads of American children in his country to try to soften up his reputation it was never pointed out that he was always using his left hand. It was meant to be an insult to the Americans and a joke to muslims about us wherever the shot was viewed.
