I suspect it hides in human cells and Prevotella bacteria. It lives in Prevotella while in the Horseshoe bat.

Another interesting behavior of Prevotella is going after porphyrin, heme and human hemoglobin as a source of iron used in the black pigment characteristic of this genus.

Prevotella bacteria is also common in gum disease of Type 2 diabetes patients.
