Hey, question for all, so I found a bunch of masks in storage, but I also found mice droppings in the same box 😩. I definitely don’t want to thrown anything away. Can I salvage these? Should I try the oven trick? It will take forever, there are probably 200 masks/respirators.

I found information on that, but not specifically for masks. In the barn or sheds, I put on a respirator, spray everything with bleach water, let sit and clean. But masks will degrade if sprayed like that.

It appears it can be killed up in sunlight, but we have so much pollen, I’m not sure that is a good idea, unless I put them in ziplocks out in the sun. Or, I could try the oven, 30 min @160 like they are recommending for covid-19, but that would take days.

I wish I had one of those hydrogen peroxide vaporizers likes they are using in hospitals now to sterilize masks.I have a floor steamer, what if I put hydrogen peroxide in there instead of water?

We are now moving into the negotiation stage. As in, but wait, even though we won't achieve our expected (hoped for?) catastrophic collapse of the HCS, perhaps there are other, potentially damaging add-on effects that can substitute for the CV fear deficit?

Or, how about the theme that appears to be popular today, muh Sunday! (Weekend reporting of data is lower.) Well, as is my usual practice, let's take a look at Italy - more specifically, the last 19 days until today. (So convenient they are 9 hrs ahead of west coast time.)

So it does appear there is a slight blip up from Sunday, whether from spurious weekend data or just a typical timing pattern. Sadly, however (at least for the chicken FReepers), Italy's high was reached 10 days ago, with today 31% off that high.

IOW, the trend is now pretty obviously down. And, since the US lags Italy by approx 8 days, the US of course is trending down. (Oh, but NY will still come through with some more scary days!)

Here's a suggestion: rather than a daily CV thread, perhaps we should begin running an over-under thread predicting future FR retirements? As noted above, while the true believers work through negotiation, there will be periods of anger & lashing out. That's to be expected, so go ahead and get it out of your system.

But then comes depression, resulting from disappointment that the zombie apocalypse didn't occur, as well as the dawning realization that the posting history from your 'nick will be used against you by more aggressive FReepers. And so comes acceptance, when a new ID is created, and a brand new persona is invented and launched to the world.
