Yesterday's thread here:
http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3831993/posts?page=1
What fun would that be? Everybody is entitled to my opinion. You know what scares me worse than the virus Chris. Can I call you Chris? What scares me is the revelation that Large group of people on Free Republic have been brainwashed through media driven hysteria into believing that we are in an epidemic so serious our whole country has to shutdown. Thats really unsettling.
“99% of people with covid 19 make a full recovery.”
Got a source for that? I know you were asked before.
In not one single instance of a mass infection has the recovery rate been 99%. Not one. And certainly not collectively.
Stop posting false information.
Do you have a link to those letters at all? Really curious to read them.
Your son in his 20’s is at almost NO RISK WHAT SO EVER. Let him live his life. This is an old fart killer virus.
“I can read.”
That’s clearly not true.
C’mon. Give us a source to prove how much more informed than us you are.
LOL..yet, here you are....posting on a thread that discusses stats/info on what you claim is a hoax, or 'insane'.
So funny to see the flubros absolutely addicted to these CV threads.
It's simple, if you don't care for, or believe what's being posted, just pass up the thread.
These threads were the first to take notice of the mysterious virus coming out of ChiCom...when everyone else was blowing it off as nothing.
Most folks on this forum now realize, as does our POTUS (hello...he's put the brakes on his amazing, best in decades economy for an insane hoax? ... okaaayyy), but a few, um, hysteric/unsound "fell apart" posters still dispute the seriousness of this virus.
Again, if there's content on a thread that you don't believe, or support, just walk on by...there are other denier threads to spend your time and thoughts on.
Do take best care.
I’m done talking with you, troll.
Is that the definition of a FluBro? LOL. You do realize that just released data from New York shows that the majority of COVID-19 mortalities were aged 70 and over and have preexisting conditions:
"Of the 4,758 deaths in New York since the first one March 14:
61% were men
63% of the deaths were among those age 70 and older
7% of the deaths were those who were 49 and younger
No matter the age, COVID-19 is a serous illness for many people with underlying comorbidities
4,089 of those who died had at least one other chronic disease:
Hypertension - 55%
Diabetes - 37%
Others - hyperlipidemia / coronary artery disease / renal disease / etc - 16%
- see https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/views/NYS-COVID19-Tracker/NYSDOHCOVID-19Tracker-Fatalities?%3Aembed=yes&%3Atoolbar=no&%3Atabs=n
You started out as a FluBro, solidly in the FluBro camp. Now you think you are some kind of arbiter of fairness on the daily threads or something.
Again, says the FReeper who can't back up what they claim with a reference. And no, not an arbiter, but I do call out statements be represented as facts with without some sort of reference.
I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable.
mumps doesn’t kill 20somethings either.
But, like this virus, it attacks something MOST 20 something guys consider important.
Love it!
Better safe....than sorry.
When we picked up our little guy’s Rx, at the vet’s curbside, the other day....she did have a mask and gloves on, so that was good.
She dropped the bag in our trunk, closed it, and we drove off. Sanitized it, in the opened trunk, after it sat in sun for a bit. Wiped all down.
LOL...amazing to see the ignorance, around here, with a few drive bys.
When most guys/men hear about that one, they wince.
Grocery store employees ill. Chicken processing workers ill. Pork processing workers ill. Social distance at the grocery store, wear gloves and mask and wipe down the cart. Leave your nonperishables outside for a week, wipe down packaging and wash your produce.
But, but they told us our food chain was safe! Raise you hand if you believed that. Anyone, anyone?
Wait, what?
I know, right? My husband does the grocery shopping since he is already at work. He drops everything on the back porch. Then he goes and does his decon. He lives in a camper for now, so all his stuff happens out there. I put on gloves, mask, lay out a towel (my clean area), wipe everything down and let it sit on the towel. if there are small things too small to wipe, I have a bucket of bleach water and I immerse. I put frozen stuff away but let everything dry and sit. They may be covered with pollen, lol...
I get fresh gloves to go back and get the other stuff later. After dealing with outside stuff my final two steps are: wipe the door knobs, change my clothes, take off gloves, wash my hands, jump in the shower.
It is overkill, I know. We have a lot of high risk here and are hoping to hold out until there is more understanding and treatment.

Nobody really wants your unsolicited and ignorant “opinion”, troll.
“Meet the Americans who are canceling everything but kindness”
Same/very similar story as the Yonkers teacher.
Not good.
It’s like they can’t comprehend.
Imagine a novel virus, with zero herd immunity, that attacks certain organs/tissues. One of those being the testes. I suspect any male past puberty who has this, regardless of the severity of disease, will experience a decrease in T and probably swimmers as well. Simply due to the tissue distribution of the receptor used by this virus.
Just like if they were to contract mumps.
