A tiger at the Bronx Zoo has tested positive for COVID-19, the zoo said Sunday.
Nadia, a 4-year-old female Malayan tiger, tested positive for the virus while her sister Azul, two Amur tigers and three African lions developed a dry cough, the zoo said in a release.
Its believed to be the first time a tiger has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, the Associated Press reported.

Well, animals are more important than that average. That is why they, politicians, and celebrities get tests.
I say bs on this tiger story.
I want to meet the badass that swabbed that tigers nostrils.
If cats can get this thing and spread it, you may as well end the stay-in-place now. Then they’ll need to get serious about feral animals.
There is a program on Animal Planet channel called “The Zoo” that features the Bronx Zoo. I’m sure my wife has seen this tiger several times on it.
I’m a fan of tigers in general, but it would probably be a good idea to make sure every human who wants to be tested for COVID-19 can get tested before we start providing test kits to members of the animal kingdom.
