Anyone with even small amount of gun safety advice/training knows that you don’t just remove the magazine to safe the weapon. You pull the slide back to eject any round in the chamber, lock it back and visually observe that there are no rounds left. This is very likely an incident of “hold my (5th) beer” while I clean this weapon.

I am sure you would be a poor man by now. 😁 You know, I could be wrong, but I thought it was always a good idea to unload a weapon before trying to do anything with it. /S
