'An impeachable offense': Bill Maher rips Trump for federal response to coronavirus
HBO comedian Bill Maher said Trump's handling of the coronavirus pandemic amounts to impeachment.
While interviewing Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Real Time with Bill Maher host said it was "galling" that the president, in his view, was prioritizing the plights of some states over others during the coronavirus pandemic, calling it impeachable.
"I find one of the most galling parts of this is that the president is favoring certain states over the others. Governors who are nice to him, as he calls it, get a lot of attention and all the equipment they want," Maher began.
"To me, this is even more of an impeachable offense than what he did with Ukraine or Russia. How do you stop a president who is blatantly not the president of every state equally?" Maher asked, claiming that the president has not prioritized states such as California.
Sanders then claimed Trump's response was "literally beyond comprehension," but suggested it could be to bolster his chances in key states during the 2020 election.

Let’s stop the piling on Maher long enough to respond to the charge.
Perhaps the states who Trump provides all the material they need, don’t need as much. Places like New York City created their own problems. Cuomo and the Democrats drew down hospital beds by 25% since 2000. California, post Arnold, discarded the mobile pandemic units he had prepared in favor of a highway to nowhere. Now, those who did not plan well AND invited the pandemic by not imposing early lockdowns, complain that President Trump is not meeting their needs?!?! Nonsense!
Yes, it’s a real blessing that our largest state is relatively under control. We can’t handle the hotspots in NY/NJ as it is.

He is loathesome. I’m a month from retirement and watching my 401k go down....I’m in it for the long haul, however and sitting tight. There is no word to describe people wishing for the economy to crash or peoples retirement savings to evaporate for a political gain, a pox on their houses.
