Broadway fans around the world will soon be able to stream the works of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber on YouTube — for free.

The series, dubbed “The Shows Must Go On!,” will stream weekly to help ease cabin fever during the coronavirus quarantine. The musical theater legend plans to air some of his most celebrated — and reviled — shows.

The first installment begins at 2 p.m. Friday with Lloyd Webber’s 2000 revival of 1991’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” starring Donny Osmond, Maria Friedman, Richard Attenborough and Joan Collins, available for a 48-hour period.

The next production, scheduled for April 10, will be the 2012 rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar,” featuring stars Tim Minchin, the Spice Girls’ Melanie C and Chris Moyles.

So go track virus deaths instead if that’s what entertains you.

My favorite take on Andrew Lloyd Webber comes from the late great singer Robert Palmer. When asked what he thought about Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music he called it “trite.”

Robert Palmer? The same guy who gave us this masterpiece of non-trite music?

ALW cries all the way to the bank. Sir Paul McCartney is the second richest entertainer in the music industry. He’s worth about half of what Webber has earned and the only thing that slowed his earnings is a worldwide shutdown, so someone must like his work. Personally I’m not a fan but my wife will watch everything he puts online. That said, even she couldn’t stomach the latest version of Cats.

Times like this of great danger bring out the best in most people, as they struggle to give whatever they have to offer--from Donald Trump donating his salary, his time, his efforts, all that he has--to the My Pillow guy--to Andrew Lloyd Webber-- to the millions of people whose names and efforts are unrecorded and unknown--to you and me.

It also brings out the worst in the worst of people:

Witness the efforts of the Democrat Party to subvert the efforts and resources of the rest of us to their own advantage!

As all decent and benevolent people struggle to be of help, Democrat politicians struggle to find what they can extort from everyone else.

The Democrat Party is truly the Party of Hate and Evil.

It has championed every evil from slavery and the ku klux klan to voter fraud, illegal immigration, sexual perversion, "impeachment," and extorting concessions from the coronavirus financial relief legislation.

Now they're talking about what they can extort from future relief efforts.

One thing they want is money for mail-in voting. Of course, the reason they want this is because it will make voter fraud easier.

I’ve either forgotten or missed Robert Palmer shuffling off this mortal coil. Heart attack in 2003. RIP

Is he also going to stream Pink Floyd and other artists from which he plagiarized?

Watched ‘Joseph’ last night. I love Rice and Webber’s early stuff. Reminded me of the school production we did when I were a lad.

Of that, there is no manner of doubt,
No possible probable shadow of doubt,
No possible doubt whatever! :-)
