iirc, the “family picture” was photoshopped. Wasn’t there something off about the legs?
What I find most surprising is that they keep recycling the same people/photos. There is AI tech now that can generate completely fake faces that look completely real. If I were a DS player, I’d be using that. (Though maybe they are too detectable as fakes. I haven’t looked into that.)
Even without AI, wouldn’t you expect they’d be able to find more photos of long dead people that could be used?
I wonder if the DS minion whose job it is to make up these fake news stories/photos has been fired. Ha. Actually, I wonder if the person responsible for making it up even knows he’s doing it. Maybe a lot of those jobs are farmed out to various (unsuspecting) subcontractors. If that’s the case, they probably all have access to a lot of the same stock photos.
Or maybe there is one person who uses and reuses the same batch of photos. If that were your job, (and you didn’t know what the true purpose was) why would you use a different photo every time? You wouldn’t. I’d be like “ok, this guy looks like he could be a 12 year-old named Ismael. I’ll use this picture.”
