and, at the moment, can't accommodate special orders, so I couldn't get my fries with no salt.
Had to go with the new mac and cheese... which ain't bad.
The next morning I received a call from the local McDonald's I had gone to the day before. The manager gave me the phone number for the Utica, NY office that oversees the McDonald's in this area. The woman there told me that I shouldn't be surprised if McDonald's ends up stopping the all-day breakfast sandwich offerings all together. She said that they may continue to offer one or two breakfast sandwiches, but it won't be an all-day thing. I told her if that ends up being the case, that I won't be going back to McDonald's ever. I hate their hamburgers, and their French Fries. The fries taste like carboard. I don't go to Burger King, or Wendy's either. I can make a better burger at home in my frying pan. And it won't be tossed together, and look like somebody with Parkinson's disease made it.
That’s nice. The day they reinstate Salvation Army and CAF, I’ll start eating there again.
Here in Rome, NY you have to give them your card if you go through drive-thru. McDonald's, Arby's, KFC, Burger King, Taco Bell, Dunkin' Donuts, Wendy's...none of them have the card readers available via drive thru. They do if go in.
Went to one last week. They’ll eventually only take orders from their app or online.
Same here. Drove up and one clerk comes to the car and takes your order, drive forward and the window clerk scans your card and hands you your package. Filled up with gas at $1.63 and drove home.
Yup - the lady at the local KFC yesterday stuck the card reader out the window and asked me to swipe my card myself for payment.
____________
Chic-Fil-a is doing something similar.
Lady was standing outside. When I got to her, she held up the card reader and I reached out the window and put the card in.
And they implied only prepaid orders will be the standard.
“so I couldn’t get my fries with no salt.”
What kind of Godless Communism is this??
Been doing that in more and more stores over the last two years. It’s why the signs outside say “CREDIT ONLY”.
Seems like an increasingly popular trend. Thing is, I go to the pastry shop in the morning and order one pastry, that’s like an approx. $5.00 charge. Normally, I simply would not get out the credit card for a $5.00 charge.
Sweet, beer, and pizza and drive through fuel then home. I really miss the NHL but I gotta pup that loves her frizziby throw time. Rural living really sucks, no subway, no noise, and now no visitors. If a salesman shows up answer the door coughing. Problem solved. Truely, the over reaction in some of this is BS. I got five dollars that says country folks will survive.
Cracker Barrel
Thats why i give them cash. Tell them keep change. I saw one person in front of me with zip lock bag and they had worker throw change in the bag.
I didn’t know they were still in business. I haven’t spent a penny there since they went full homo back n November and flipped of the FCA and Salvation Army to support a runaway home founded by a homo priest and run by the runaways.
Not a penny. And never will again. I no longer support or defend Chic-fil-A.
I handed cash at the drug store drive through window(non covid related). I told them I didnt want the change (like 18 cents).
This wasn't a strip joint, by any chance?
Riddle me this? Go to the store, put on a mask and gloves. Shop, handling food packages then remove ppe in your car and drive home. Redon ppe and pack the groceries into the house. Wipe things down and store them. Remove your ppe and wash your hands. I worked as a radiation worker over 30 years. Cross contamination wasnt detected till we surveyed out of a loose surface contaminated area. Then we missed something some times. How you fix that?
If you have there app you can pay using that
Out of 37 posts at this point and only two even suggest that we should not be eating at this company- Period. Very depressing.
lol
Olive Garden has a BOTO (but one, take one) menu for $12.99 right now and you pick it up in the parking lot. Limited menu...our local restaurant has six meals to choose from...all good choices. You get a hot entree, a salad, breadsticks and a “chilled” entree...all for $13. They’re even selling all wine at $15 bottle regardless of brand...to go also!
