I think we are restricted from this. Our business is farm based, which is excluded, but most of our revenue comes from events, classes, agritourism and product sales (bath salts, candles, lotions, sachets, etc...) Our business has come to a halt - I’m not sure what path to take on this.

Do you have to be turned down for the loan before becoming eligible for a grant?

Bank of America will NOT handle your loan if your business does not have a loan with them or if you do not have a credit card with them They deem you “Not Qualified”..

From what I have heard I’m pretty sure that I could have the government my salary (maybe whatever I say my salary is?) for at least some time.

I’m not sure that I want to do this.

Would this be available for an LLC? I do not have any employees. Not sure if this is the way to go or file for unemployment? I can’t do that as my state has not figured out how to do that yet.

Structuring this as a "loan" with all its attendant paperwork is preposterous , and reflects badly on every single member of Congress.

It has been pointed out that the IRS has EIN numbers and bank account information for every small business in America. A 100% refund of all income taxes paid by these companies for 2018 could have been authorized and done already, with no additional paperwork...if they really wanted to help.

Applied, but not expecting to see a dime.
Sole Prop, so most likely not worth the effort.

Apply for both the PPP (thru Bank) and EIDL (direct). There’s no double dipping but think of em as two paths to da money. So if one doesn’t pan out (most likely the PPP cause of the Bank morons) you still have a path to the grants and loans. EIDL is easy while the PPP is 50x more work plus fighting to reach a banker. I called SBA this am just to assure I’m not lost in the paper work (you are caller number 379..). But the wait was 10 min the guy was good and I am ‘in’ the system. No just hurry up and wait ...
